SolData and IGN (the French Geographic Institute) have co-developed a new concept in real-time monitoring using automatic levelling stations, without the need for targets.

CENTAUR is a completely automated module consisting of a motorised computer-driven levelling station.

CENTAUR employs the most recent developments in target-free technology and the capabilities of SolData software to provide a powerful, user-friendly tool for automated levelling.

CENTAUR is used for the real-time monitoring of subsidence and uplift. Its current applications consist of the monitoring of motorways, roads, airport runways, bridge decks and embankments.

The use of CENTAUR as of CYCLOPS - on several sites around the World, ensure that it is a reliable technique for the real-time levelling of surfaces.

CENTAUR provides absolute measurements of vertical deformation whilst continually calibrating against reference targets. The temperature and pressure corrections are likewise applied in real-time.
