Historical buildings
The inevitable ageing process and erosion caused by the surrounding environment often cause visible and unseen damage to our structures of national importance and heritage. Often inappropriate repairs are ineffective and lack of funding results in further damage.
Regular assessment and monitoring of these structures are essential tools for a respectful and optimal management of our historical heritage.
SolData group worked on many historical monuments, amongst which:
- Tournai Cathedral (Belgium): monitoring of the Brunin tower’s slope during foundation consolidation works
- Versailles Palace (France): vibration monitoring during the drilling of technical galleries
- Saumur Castle (France): structural monitoring of the monument for 4 years.
- Grand Palais (France) : monument monitoring during the foundations improvement and the glass roof repair works
- Richmond Capitol (USA): monitoring of the building during the underpinning works.
- King’s Cross St Pancras (United Kingdom) Monitoring of the station during nearby redevelopment works.
- Amsterdam city centre (the Netherlands): realtime monitoring of over 300 protected monuments on the metro line alignment.
- Budapest thermal baths (Hungary): hydro-geothermal and structural monitoring during construction phase
